Total Spawtz have a proven history of creating and developing media products that are world class . In 2009 we were proud to introduce our partnership with the Macqyuarie Sothern Cross Media Company. On April 17th 2009 the introduction of our national radio show branded as Total Spawtz went to air around the country. Hosted by Total Spawtz Hall of Fame talent Trevor Hendy and Karla Gilbert and sports presenter Darren Madigan the one hour show broadcast to 40 regional stations around Australia on Friday nights at 6pm.

The show highlighted all national and international sporting codes and featured special segments that are formated to be entertaining and insightful. Special guest from the biggest names in sport were a feature of the show, with guests that included Kelly Slater, David Brabham and Pat Cash were meet with great review from our listeners and sponsors of the show.

2010 sees us unite with Rebel and Breeze fm as we expand our media partnerships in radio. Total Spawtz will introduce our first TV format before the end of the year and provide a new and dynamic evolution in sports TV broadcast. Our executive producer will be joined by NBN executive producer Shan Vievers who brings a wealth of experience and inovation to the team. These two seasoned media producer/presenters will provide sports consumers with the very best media products.

•       10 years as producer and host of Saturday Sport scene on 101FM in Brisbane. This program became the premier sports program of its type in SEQ and punched so far above its weight that the ABC approached Darren and asked him to start a show for them from scratch on the Gold Coast. This was achieved in 4 days!

•       2 years as producer and host of Coast Grandstand on ABC Coast FM. Coast Grandstand became the highest rating locally produced program in the Gold Coast and Tweed market for the ABC.

•       In the 2009 ratings survey the shows performance was so strong that despite not being on the air for the final 2 weeks of the survey (which brought our average numbers down) the show still rated only just below one of the Gold Coast leading radio stations, Hot Tomato, proving that the show was rating at least HT’s numbers in this time slot.

•       Coast Grandstand had a reputation for being a show that sports stars enjoyed appearing on and returning to.

•       Darren was a finalist in the 2008 Gold Coast Media awards for Best New Talent

•       Darren has present various Gold Coast sporting organisations season launches and sports functions.

•       Darren stood in for Craig Willis (the voice of the AFL and Tennis Australia) as court announcer on Semi-Final night at the 2008 Mondial Australian Women’s Hardcourt Championships. Darens ability to call sports is exceptional.

•       He produced and presented special 3 hour pre-Olympics opening ceremony show networked across south east Queensland for the Beijing Games, Total Spawtz talent Trevor Hendy co hosted the show and the beginning of a new sports concept was formed.

•       Darren produced and anchored local coverage of NAB Cup AFL match between Brisbane and Essendon in 2008 Darren gave lesser profiled sports (men’s and women’s) coverage that they have never experienced in the state of Queensland.
