David is a great Rugby League product and star of the future. Born 18 October 1983 in Townsville, Queensland is an Australian professional rugby league player for the Bulldogs club of the NRL. A Queensland State of Origin representative utility forward, he previously played for the Brisbane Broncos, with whom he won the 2006 NRL Premiership.
Stagg is an old boy of Padua College in Brisbane. His position of choice is in the Second Row. David Stagg can also play lock and due to this mobility can also play in the centres and this is where he played in the Broncos' 2006 grand final victory. He is one of the best one-on-one tacklers in the competition,thus giving him the nickname "Tackling Machine". Stagg signed with the Canterbury Bulldogs for the 2009 and 2010 seasons.
In April 2009, he was named in the preliminary 25 man squad to represent Queensland in the opening State of Origin match for 2009.

On the 2007/2008 off season, David married girlfriend Tamika Sellars. On the 14th of August, 2008, David became a father for the first time to a baby girl named Paige Olivia.
